Adobe Flash Player EOL General Information Page When is the Flash Player end-of-life (EOL)? As previously announced in July 2017, Adobe will stop distributing and updating Flash Player after December 31, 2020 (“EOL Date”). We made this announcement in collaboration with several of our technology partners – including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla – which issued. Adobe will end support of Flash Player on December 31, 2020. Here's what you can expect in the meantime for each Microsoft browser: In the next version of Microsoft Edge (built on Chromium), Flash will be disabled by default. However, users may re-enable it on a site-by-site basis. The timeline for Chromium-based browsers can be found here. 2. Are you being asked to close the browser?

On Safari, the installer closes the browser to proceed with the installation.

4. Did the installer start installing?

You don’t know where the Flash Player installer has been downloaded.

By default, the files are downloaded and saved to the Downloads folder unless the 'save to' location is changed manually.

1. After downloading Flash Player, close all browsers.
2. Locate the Flash Player install file. Unless you have specified otherwise, the file is saved in your Downloads folder.
3. Double-click the installer file to begin the Flash Player installation.

Choose Window > Downloads or press Option+Command+L. Control-click the downloaded file and choose Show in Finder.

5. Are you unable to resolve the issue?

The rich-media content does not work, and you do not know what the issue is.

Uninstall Flash Player and perform a clean install of Flash Player.

6. Do you have password-related issues?

If you are unable to authenticate successfully, check your user name and password. Use your system credentials, not your Adobe ID.

To revert to the shipping version of Flash Player, follow the instructions below, then install the shipping version of Flash Player.

2. Find the uninstaller file, double-click it and follow the prompts.
